The 10 x 5 meter decked swimming pool is a suntrap. Located a short stroll  above and behind the house, it offers total privacy and spectacular views across the Dordogne countryside. There is also a shaded pergola with table and chairs.
The house itself has outdoor seating areas on three sides including the enclosed kitchen garden with barbeque,  seating for twelve and fresh growing herbs. There is also a relaxing spot to sit out by the original stone fishpond.
There are three acres of mature gardens to explore including a woodland walk (where you may spot the occasional wild deer), numerous tree species (many fruit trees) and an ancient truffle hunter’s hut (it is rumoured that there are truffles on the land).
Close to the house, there are two sets of steps down to the village road, so it is just a short stroll to the bar, restaurants, markets and shops of Sainte Alvere.
Just over the road from the house is the municipal sports ground with football pitch and tennis courts.
